The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Senior with a strong work ethic, who is ready to share our dedication to the people we serve. AMRTC is an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.
In addition to performing Registered Nurse responsibilities, this position assists the Registered Nurse Supervisor in managing the delivery of high-quality nursing care on their assigned unit. Responsibilities include:
Work in collaboration with the RN Supervisor to help ensure compliance with facility policies, program requirements, and regulatory standards.
Provide clinical support and leadership to nursing staff.
Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned on unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse; AND
Bachelor’s degree in nursing degree, plus two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse; OR
Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing, plus three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Certification in a relevant specialty area of nursing expertise may substitute for one (1) year of Registered Nurse experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
